Cam's Actual Birthday Day

Cam's official birthday started with bringing monkey cupcakes to daycare.

We celebrated with a birthday dinner at Chick-fil-a and subsequent activity in the play place. A trip to Toys R' Us is a must to receive the birthday crown and balloon. It didn't hurt that Scott found coupons to get Toy Story 1 & 2 and The Princess and the Frog all on blue-ray for $30 for all three.
She opened her presents from mom and dad: monkey dishware and a t-ball set. We celebrated with a birthday sundae because really ice cream is her favorite dish.

Cam's Birthday Party

We celebrated her 2nd birthday with family and friends the Saturday after her official birthday. It was great to have everyone out to our house. We celebrated with a taco bar and other assorted items. Scott's Uncle Chuck and Aunt Brenda brought elk summer sausage which was amazing and then the present mayhem began.

She loved all of her presents. Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Donna gave her her 1st trike. Grandma Julie and Grandpa Tracy gave her lots of clothes and a Minnie Mouse golf bag set. Uncle Brent and Aunt Laura gave her the large bouncy house. Aunt Amy and the boys gave Cam an elephant bank for all her money. When you put money in it it trumpets quite loudly. Plus numerous other presents that are all recorded.

But the big present from Mom and Dad was a cedar playhouse for outside. Scott and I didn't read the directions. The front of the box said it would take 3 hours to put together. When we opened it up Thursday night and actually took the directions out it said it would take two moderately skilled people 6 - 8 hours to put together. We decided our time was better spent preparing the food and gladly handed off the task to Grandpa Bob and Grandpa Tracy Saturday when they arrived. It only took them about 3 1/2 hours to put together and about 3 drill batteries. Their help probably saved Scott and I from numerous arguments.

Camryn enjoyed her big day and is enjoying all the numerous craft activities, food supplies and toys. Good thing we have a basement big enough for storage.
